Mike Johnson song writer, guitar player and vocalist and band leader from York, northern England

Mike’s music career started as a teenager surrounded by Yorkshire blues legends such as Neil Dalton and Gypsy Bill Williams. Mike has been playing live gigs for the past 15 years  most recently fronting York band “Up In Smoke”, as well as duo and solo performances, he also regained his love for busking and some other performances here and there.

Mike’s finally put together his first album and things only can only move forward from here.

The album “Lights Out” has been a long time coming.  Mike finally hit the studio with a full belief in what he wanted to say and how he wanted to say it.

Lights out compromises original songs and covers, the band tracks chart a journey from depression back to a full life, it features a solid trio line up and a duo collaboration with Sonny Dalton as well as some solo tracks.
